Apocalypse Later Roadshow

Welcome to the Apocalypse Later Roadshow!

Under the Apocalypse Later banner, I've been curating and hosting a variety of mini-film festivals at a similar variety of conventions across the American southwest since LepreCon 39 in May 2013.

My goal is to bring quality international short films to new eyeballs at no cost to the filmmakers or the events.

What is the Apocalypse Later Roadshow?

Most commonly, a mini-film festival is at least one set of short films that I select for a convention and introduce at the event. Usually, what this means is that I:

  • select quality short films both from around the world and, if possible, locally to the convention
  • tailor them to the genre of the event and, if there is one, a theme or special guest
  • obtain screening approval and high quality digital files from the rights owners
  • compile the films into one or more coherent sets
  • introduce and screen those sets live at the event
  • conduct Q&As, where possible, with represented filmmakers

The length and number of sets varies to meet each convention's needs and occasionally I also include a feature, but mostly proceedings play out as above.
