Gaslight Steampunk Expo isn't a new event. Gaslight Gathering, at which I've presented mini-film festival sets over the last few years, split into two. The go forward Gaslight Gathering, run by the same organisation, kept the name but moved to Mothers' Day. The new Gaslight Steampunk Expo, run by the same people, took a new name but stayed on the same weekend. For all intents and purposes, it's the same event with a new name. Last year, I screened 11 films in one 75m set. This year, I had 90m to play with, over two days, but only screened 4 films. That's because I had two absolutely stunning half hour films to bring to new eyeballs! |
