Wild Wild West Con 5 was held at Old Tucson Studios in Tucson, AZ over the weekend of Friday 4th to Sunday 6th March, 2016. It was the third Wild Wild West Con in a row that I've provided with a mini-film festival and it was the best received yet. I was very happy both to be asked back to program more steampunk films at 'the largest steampunk convention in the southwest' and to be able to find new films of sufficient quality to fill three 45 minute slots. I didn't build specific themes into this year's sets, though you could read the three as covering adventure, the unusual and invention respectively. There's also a little nod to the convention theme of 'Journey Around the World', as some films are centered around travel and others merely come to us from foreign climes. |
